Current Projects

We've only just reached the end of the first week of the school's summer break and work is progressing really well.

Roger Andrew's have cleared the site so that foundations can be laid for the steel frame.

Balsdon's have got the roof on the new pre-school room and seem to be on target to finish in time for the start of the new school year in September.
As you can see building works are underway.

Construction of our new Pre-School building is flying along and the building will be finished in tome for the start of term in September.
As you can see from the drawings it's going to be fantastic - which is just as well considering the chaos we've currently got inside school as we store things while Pre-School is built and internal works take place in school.

Demolition is underway so that work can begin on our new hall this week.
We are intending to finish the ground works and erect he steel frame over the summer break so that block work can start.
The project is due for completion just after Christmas.

We can't wait !!!

I’m delighted to be able to tell you that we have been successful in obtaining a grant which will enable us to build a new sports hall.

The school has grown steadily over many years to the point where we were able to open a seventh class two years ago. This was a big step forward because it meant that for the first time all of our children were able to be taught in single age classes with an average size of only 23 children.

We obtained a grant to build these two fantastic new class areas but of course this meant that we had to give up our school hall.

Our governors and staff have been working ever since to obtain the funds needed to build a replacement hall and it really is amazing that we are able to announce the start of this £300,000 development.

In addition to providing a vitally needed indoor sports facility our new hall will also give us plenty of space for school dinners, drama, music, assemblies and school productions like concerts and plays.
In addition to ll of this we are going to be able to finally replace the dilapidated building that playgroup have been working in for many years s that our youngest children get a much better deal.

All in all it’s going to have a huge impact on an enormous range of things that we do in school.

These initial plans give an idea about what we are going to be doing over the coming months.

We’ve already got planning permission and will be going to tender next week so that work can begin in about six weeks time.

The current playgroup room will be demolished at the end of the summer term so that construction of the hall’s structure can take place over the summer break.
Playgroups new room will be up and running by September with the hall being fully completed by this time next year.
